3rd Line Support Engineer – Manchester (Altrincham) - £30k - £40k A Microsoft focused 3rd Line Support Engineer with experience working in the Consultancy and MSP (Managed Services) space is needed to join a growing Managed Service Provider in their South Manchester offices. This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing Managed Service Provider who have double in size over the past 12months and have major expansion plans over 2020. Anyone joining the business over the coming months will have the opportunity to develop and progress their career in the business quickly into Project work and within Professional Services. The Role: You will form part of the tier 3 team as the highest point of escalation dealing with complex support issues for external clients. You will work in a very fast paced environment forming part of a highly skilled team of engineers who are passionate about what they do and all have a strong customer service focus. You will work to SLAs to resolve escalated tickets which will massively vary and focus around the core Microsoft Stack from hardware to software (Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, Anti Virus, Azure and Private Cloud, Office 365) You will share your technical knowledge within the team, mentor juniors and have a can do attitude. Skills and Experience Required: You must hold at least 5yrs experience working within an Infrastructure focused role and ideally have some experience working for a Managed Service Provider / IT Consultancy – or with external clients. You must hold a wide and varying technical skill set across the full Microsoft Stack –inc various versions of Windows Server, Exchange, Microsoft Cloud Technologies (Azure and O365), SQL, Anti-Virus software, Back up technologies, Virtualisation etc. You must have excellent customer service skills and be experienced at speaking with various external businesses You should have a can do attitude and not be afraid to take on any new challenge You will be passionate about technology, striving to progress your career and always wanting to learn the newest techs.
