Overview
Newstaff Employment Services are currently recruiting for a Shift Engineer on behalf of a client based in Leighton Buzzard. They are looking for a strong individual who can provide an engineering maintenance and breakdown service for the manufacturing equipment located in site one and two. ·Minimum 5 years in similar role ·Technical awareness of manufacturing, including detailed understanding of moulding, tooling, robotics, assembly and PLC programming ·Implementation of engineering work instruction and training documentation as and when required ·Continuous improvements of all related production equipment to drive OEE up and above specified targets and to reduce scrap to below specified targets ·To ensure PPM is completed on time. Notification to be given to the production shift manager when scheduled timelines are not met with reason why ·All spares used need to be logged and updated/re-ordered in suitable time ·A high level of housekeeping is required at all times; your work area and tools must be safely put by in a professional manor · To Comply to all health & safety at all times The right candidate must have the desired experience and be a highly self-motivated individual, with the can-do attitude, also can work to strict deadlines with minimum supervision. Rotating shift pattern of 6 days working on a shift between 6am and 2pm for 6 days, 3 days off, then 2pm to 10pm for 6 days, 3 days off, back to mornings Salary £35 - £40k pa Company benefits including 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension scheme, critical illness and life assurance benefits, free parking.
