Overview
We are currently working with a leading manufacturer of bespoke products. Due to ongoing growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Purchaser to join their team, who will be responsible for over £1m of spend. The Purchaser will be responsible for managing key supplier relationships, organising and managing stock levels and supporting all departments with stock and non-stock purchasing. Responsibilities include: All aspects of purchasing Setup and run strategic procurement strategies Manager over £1m of company spend Processing all purchasing requirements company-wide Managing and organising stock to increase efficiency Setting up and managing supplier accounts Liaising with internal departments to ensure large scale projects have material requirements met The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate: Previous purchasing experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment Experience of order processing and receipts Good communication skills for dealing with suppliers IT proficient (Word/Excel) Knowledge of engineering/fabrication would be advantageous as would the ability to understand engineering drawings This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business that can offer long term progression and career development, coupled with a competitive salary and benefits package including a quarterly bonus (approx £300 per quarter), 20 days annual leave increasing by 1 day for each year worked up to a maximum of 25 and enrolment onto a company pension scheme. Hours for this role will be Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
