Semester Recruitment are currently recruiting a temporary Service Manager with view to interviewing/starting ASAP with the possibility of the placement being extended for the right candidate. MAIN PURPOSE(S) OF THE JOB: · Service management of the LAC/LC and UASC teams across the county and UASC team in the city. · Supervision and line management of the LAC/LC/UASC Team Managers. · To chair key meetings involving high risk and/or vulnerable children and young people. · To lead on Performance management and quality assurance for the Services · To have oversight of Service Area budgets and to represent budget information to HoS · To represent LAC/LC service at County wide panels and forums · To play a key leadership role in providing safe and effective services to the LAC/LC/UASC populations within Oxfordshire, and in promoting positive outcomes. · To link with key service manager colleagues in OCC and to promote partnership working with key agencies to support LAC and LC pathways. MAIN DUTIES: 1. To manage and support and develop the LAC/LC and UASC services across Oxfordshire 2. To chair meetings when cases require senior oversight and accountability. 3. To support Permanency Planning for LAC and transition planning for Leaving Care. 4. To support performance management across the services in collaboration with the Team managers and deliver on key performance targets. 5. Update and brief Senior Managers on a Need to Know basis. 6. To ensure the complaints to the service are dealt with in line with the complaints procedure and take an active role when required. 7. To ensure that services are delivered in compliance with legislative, contractual, regulatory and best practice frameworks. 8. To ensure appropriate budget management in compliance with OCC financial management protocols. 9. Take a lead on ensuring that OCC guidance, policy and procedure is kept up to date and accessible to relevant staff. 10. To take the lead in ensuring that FoI requests are responded to in accordance with OCC policy and national guidance. 11. To deliver training and development activity to ensure that LAC/LC and UASC and related services teams are informed and updated. Candidates MUST have a valid DBS (dated within 12 months) and have the relevant qualifications and experience.
