Overview

Robert Half are working with an exciting Aerospace business based in North Bristol who are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant on an initial 5 month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for their next opportunity in a fast paced and growing organisation. Role Key Accountabilities: Timely and accurate completion and submission of Government returns to ensure the site meets all external reporting requirements. Co-ordination of any internal audit requirements, FACTs reviews and balance sheet reviews including preparation for any on-site reviews where required. Oversee SAP GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) process adherence ensuring monthly reporting of results and escalation / remedy of instances of non-compliance. Ensure a robust financial control environment is maintained and documented within FACTS (Financial Accuracy and Compliance Tracking System), and reviewing the WoW (Ways of Working) at least once annually to ensure it is still fit for purpose. Management of existing capital investments including capitalisation of assets, disposals, monthly depreciation runs and forecasting, asset accruals and monitoring of spend for assets under construction (involving liaising with Estates and Services to ensure processes and procedures documentation is in place). This also includes support for the Capex submissions and the ongoing monitoring of these on Share-point as they go through the approval process. Support of the site DOA (Delegation of Authorities) ensuring it is up to date and compliant with Group and Divisional requirements. Act as site technical expert for Accounting and Reporting Standards and associated Group / Divisional policies.
