Overview
Prospero Health and Social Care are looking for Support Workers in a range of services across North Somerset. We are looking for agency bank staff to support adults with learning difficulties and ASD in residential settings and outreach services. We have adhoc flexible hours, so you can pick up shifts to suit your availability. we have early shifts, late shifts and waking nights. About the Company : Possibility to secure permanent employment. Residential settings Senior staff on site Activities and the opportunity to go out in the community. Variety of homes. About the role as a Support Worker: To work with service users with Autism Spectrum Disorders. To support service users with trips out in the community such as bowling, shopping, cinema, museums and more. To engage a service user to achieve positive outcomes. To encourage independence and aim for people to gain confidence and to build their social and communication skills. Experience working with Challenging behavior About the ideal Support Worker: Resilient, caring and emphatic with a focus on achieving a high level of quality service. Experience in working with clients with Learning Difficulties or a keen interest in learning more about it. Patient and understanding, able to deal with challenging behavior.
