Overview
This is a new opportunity with a company working on advanced technology for the wireless communications market In this Senior CAD Support role you will be based in the UK design centre and will be supporting a dedicated Analog, RF IC Design team with CAD tool infrastructure in the UK and working closely with other European design centres. You will be working on synchronising tools, methodology, flows as well as providing some IT support in the UK Design Center. Responsibilities will include; IT support and HW definition to optimise the use and performance of EDA tools, design of the IT and network infrastructure to support multi-national design sites sharing common databases and tools, working with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best tools needed for design project and providing local support. You will also be supporting the customisation of EDA tools, design flows, methodology and IT infrastructure to provide support. Industry degree qualified you will have established experience in CAD Support with an understanding and experience in IT related issues/support with a minimum of 4 years experience from within a similar role. REQUIRED CAD SKILLS: Physical Verification debugging techniques (DRC and LVS) Administering FlexLM license servers: license installation, options files Administration of Revision control systems (Cliosoft SOS, ICManage, Synchronicity DesignSync) Virtuoso administration REQUIRED IT SKILLS: Windows Software installation printer configuration Drive mapping Windows software debugging General Network knowledge RedHat Linux administration Excellent communications skills are required and the ability to work well within a team. Strong sense of ownership and responsibility and the ability to thrive in a multicultural environment is essential along with a willingness to travel periodically between design centres within Europe.
