Overview

NHS, Registered Mental Health Nurse, Band 5 An experienced Mental Health Nurse is needed to join a busy team in Southampton. The role involves working within a team who will be delivering care for inpatients who are presenting with a functional mental illness - such as depression, a personality disorder or schizophrenia. The hospital provides care and treatment to people who are experiencing an acute mental health crisis and require a short period of hospital care to support their recovery. The wards' approach to care is 'recovery-focused' and delivered by a multi-disciplinary team made up of nursing staff, doctors, psychologists, health care support workers, occupational therapists and a chaplain. The role is an initial 3 Month, NHS contract with likelihood of extension. The role is full-time and covers a flexible shift pattern including long days, nights and weekend work. The hourly rate for the position is: Monday - Friday day time hours: £23 p/h Saturdays and Nights: £27 p/h Sundays and Bank Holidays: £ 31 p/h Candidates must be a qualified RMN with a valid NMC Pin. The ability to work autonomously and under pressure is essential. The role is full-time, initially on a three month contract, with opportunity to continue further.
