Support Workers - Mental Health, Lyndhurst, Nother Finchely, London £9.09ph About the Role We are looking for Support Workers to join the team at Lyndhurst at our service in Finchley, London. The closest underground tube station to the service is Finchley Central and buses that travel close to the service include the 43, 134 and 221. We are providing individuals with practical and emotional care, enabling them to lead as ordinary life as they can achieve. You will need to be flexible as you are required to work shifts including bank holidays, weekends and potentially sleep ins. Main Duties and Responsibilities: • To deliver exceptional, Mental Health support services in line with CareTechs policies and procedures and best practice. • To actively promote and ensure the independence, wellbeing, and support to all clients within the services. • To be part of a Rota that provides 24-hour support for vulnerable adults with mental health needs. • Develop, carry out and amend clients Support Plans, risk assessments, and review, all in accordance with the companies Policies and Procedures. • Develop and provide emotional and practical support to clients enabling them to achieve outcomes outlined in Support plans. • Support clients to manage their personal finances, and budget for everyday expenses. The Successful Candidate for the role will have: • Previous experience of supporting adults with a mental illness within residential or supported living environments. • NVQ in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards. • Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and/or mental health issues. • The ability to keep calm under pressure. • Confidence to work alone and as part of a team. • Excellent communication skills. • The passion to work with vulnerable Adults. • The desire and commitment to achieve high standards of safeguarding.
