UK Medical Director - Cardiovascular Medicine / Oncology UK head office: Bucks / Uxbridge Negotiable basic salary plus bonus, car allowance and excellent benefits. Purpose: Responsible for Quality Assurance, Medical Information, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs and Medical affairs activities in the UK compliance with Legal and Regulatory Standards. Hours: Full time, Office based Accountabilities: Play an active and constructive role as a member of the Company’s UK Management Team by discussing and debating issues without functional bias and implement decisions consistently and enthusiastically within agreed timescales and budgets. All serious safety related issues in relation to company products are given high priority by the UK Leadership Team. Active participation in the management of all company partnerships. Pro-actively offer business level ideas to help improve the company performance. Lead and develop the UK Medical team to develop and ensure delivery of effective operational plans in a way that maximises team efforts and activities and ensures they are directly aligned to Company goals and procedures. Technical/Professional Knowledge: Essential - - Ethical and principle based approach to decision-making - Ability to think, plan and contribute strategically - Strong communication and influencing skills – written and verbal - Ability to form strong communication networks with key internal and external stakeholders - Previous experience of representing the Medical function up to and including Board level - Previous experience of managing medically-qualified staff - Proven broad therapeutic experience to include areas of expertise of company (i.e. CV, Diabetes, thrombosis, Oncology) - Proven understanding and application of key pharmacovigilance, regulatory and promotional legislation to ensure effective implementation into company processes - GMC Registered Medic with a minimum of two years clinical experience, or equivalent experience.
