Finance Director

You will join us as a Finance Director where you will ensure the company's finance function is running effectively to maximise commercial opportunity with good controls in place. The FD will be a key member of the management leadership team, working closely with the Board to develop the business and daily with the rest of the Exec team drive through change, providing strategic and operational financial direction and advise the business on all financial aspects of company strategy. Finance Director Responsibilities: - Form a close working relationship with the Managing Director, other Executives and Non-Executives to provide leadership to the Board's Finance and Accounting strategy and reporting. - Ability to act as business partner to the MD and senior management team. - Management of the annual budgeting process; maintain profit / cash forecasts. - Oversee & maintain an effective finance function, reviewing, improving & streamlining accounting & financial management processes as required. - Contribute fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on activities, plans, targets and business drivers. Finance Director Requirements: - We are looking for a commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, dynamic, insightful and influential leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels. - Qualified ACA / ACCA or equivalent with an SME growth track record. - Used to owning the Finance function and building a supportive culture. - Used to proactively seeking opportunities to add value and develop the business. - Used to operating with a small team hands-on and contributing at Board level. - Used to using the latest tech to drive effectiveness. - Previous SME experience of data sales and reseller models, royalties and B2C e-commerce would be helpful.
