Overview
Are you an Insurance Claims Assistant with experience in handling claims to completion and investigation property damage claims? Are you interested in working for a leading national company? If the answer is yes, this role could be for you Key responsibilities: Handling of claims to completion. Interrogation of company systems and communication with operational staff to assess our responsibility for damage. Manage claim settlement paperwork and financial processes. Develop and maintain good working relationships with claims personnel within claimant utility companies and our contractors. Ensure that contractors accept responsibility for the handling and prompt settlement of claims associated with damage caused while working on our behalf. Ensure that claimant utilities are kept up to date with progress on the investigation and settlement of claims. Obtain written reports from operational staff in relation to utility strike claims, providing advice to assist the completion of these reports. Investigation of property damage claims including meeting claimants on site. Assess liability and quantum and provide advice to the Insurance Claims Officer in respect of settlementRecording of new claims on the claims database, and updating of records as claims progress. Assist in the gathering and submission of supplementary information as required by the company's external claims handlers and insurers. Provide reports to the Risk and Insurance Manager and Claims Manager as required, in particular in relation to utility strike claims still open more than 3 months after receipt.
