Overview

We are currently working with a Public Sector organisation based in Dudley who are seeking the interim support of SEN Case Officers to join their busy but friendly team. There is one SEN Caseworker (x1) role and two vacancies for SEN Case Officer (x2). Senior SEN Case Officer (x1) This role requires the post holder to support the SEN Team Manager in the efficient and effective delivery of all the statutory functions and duties of the Local Authority with regard to pupils with SEND (aged 0-25) who have or may require an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) Assist in the delivery and monitoring of the EHCP statements To take a lead in the management of SEND Tribunal Cases and represent the local authority where this is required Support the SEN Team Manager in embedding the arrangements for EHC needs assessments, the production and monitoring the quality of EHC Plans Promote a person centred approach to identifying needs, outcomes and appropriate specified provision within the EHCP, across all agencies, To assist the SEND Team Manager in developing and embedding new procedures and practices To assist in embedding a person centred approach across agencies both within the Local Authority and with external agencies To promote close working partnerships with children, families and young people and effect good working relationships with colleagues in education, health and social care, the Voluntary and Community Sector, SENDIASS and Dudley’s Parent Carer Forum To ensure that existing processes and procedures are reviewed and revised, as needed, to be fit for purpose to support the SEN Reforms To assist the SEND Team Manager in identifying areas for further development SEN Case Officer roles (x2) You will provide high quality casework across 0-25 age phase that ensures that children and young people with SEN and those who are Looked After by the Local Authority achieve desirable outcomes To engage with children and young people and their parents/carers to ensure they have the opportunity to fully participate, either directly or via an advocate in services that they receive To ensure Looked After Children and other vulnerable children and young people achieve good educational outcomes Ensure education placement is aligned to identified needs and placement is sustained through the effective resourcing of adaptation that meets identified need Where placement breaks down determination and delivery of swift and effective child centred solutions The preparation of departmental records for tribunal and other external scrutiny purposes Rate : An hourly rate that will be negotiable dependant on experience (Inside IR35) Duration: 3- 6 month rolling contracts For more information on this or other Local Gov Jobs, please in the first instance email your CV to Natalie Cox or Hannah Fritz-Lewis on the Midlands Local Gov Team at or call Venn Group is an equal opportunities employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates.
