Overview
Two year interim opportunity for a Development Surveyor to join a public sector estate based in Devon Your new company As a Development Surveyor you will join a public sector organisation located close to Exeter who are responsible for the management and maintenance of an operational estate spread across the Devon and Cornwall region. Your new company are investigating a number of ways to maximise estate value and utilise property in the most effective way, and you'll be an integral part of this operation. Your new role You will join as a Development Surveyor responsible for an urgent sensitive and strategic project based in Devon. You will take ownership of the closure of sites and the relocation of specialist teams across the Devon region, each team with different operational requirements. What you'll need to succeed In order to be a good fit for this role you'll need to have a background in commercial property development, ideally working within a public sector organisation. You'll need to have an expansive skill-set including specific expertise in lease negotiation, use of valuation software and progressing projects from cradle to grave. You'll need to have excellent communication ability, especially within a complex multi-stakeholder environment. What you'll get in return In return you will receive an initial two year contract paying an hourly rate of pay which is likely to sit outside scope of IR35. This contract is likely to extend past the initial two year period, and could move into a permanent position past the initial contract duration if you are interested in exploring this option.
