Permanent Project Design Manager, East Midlands, Construction Main Contractor, multi sector works £70k bens Your new company My client are a market leading specialist contractor in the construction industry. Recently they have secured a place on 2 separate illustrious frameworks leasing to a sharp increase in the both the values of projects and pipeline of work. Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent project design manager to join their team. The role will be focused on delivering high quality cost effective buildings, the company undertake projects in a range of sectors such as; Commercial, Retail, MOD, Student accommodation and Education. Your new role You will be responsible for reviewing and executing the design in accordance with outlined deliverable's. This will include overseeing design based counterparts who will produce drawings and reviewing them at a high level. The role will encompass elements of traditional design, structural understanding and Site level experience to be able to confidently identify problems and solutions to delivering the project. You will also need to be able to direct external design partners and the internal Project Design and CAD Technician professionals. As you will be the primary technical contact for the project you will have the ability to liaise with senior operational counterparts and clients. What you'll need to succeed You will be qualified to Degree or HND/HNC level, and have professional accreditation with a relevant institution. You will also have appropriate experience in CAD software: Preferably AutoDESK REVIT, AutoDESK AutoCAD, and/or other 3D Modelling software. Although as previously mentioned you will not be responsible for production of drawings. You will have a strong working history within a design role for a main contractor ideally a tier 1 contractor. Furthermore you will previously have experience managing members of a design team.
