Construction Engineer £50,000 - £60,000 per annum Some jobs need a specialist, but this one needs you to be specialist at being an all-rounder. In recent times our current Construction Engineer has been supporting organisations such as Eurostar, Greater Anglia, Engie and L &. He’s moving on to another role in the business so we need to find another great construction engineer. This job will be all about variety. You’ll be the person advising our clients from a range of backgrounds, on the constructability of projects from feasibility through detailed design and into delivery. One of your key roles will be translating the requirements of Network Rail’s criteria for working on and alongside the rail network for your clients and helping them navigate this as they work through their projects. You’ll use your niche blend of skill sets to talk to other engineering and construction colleagues and provide that critical review of construction methodologies for our clients. Alongside this, you’ll be able to use your other strengths and skills to lead on traditional project management or engineering/design activities, so you won’t feel restricted in developing your skillset and moving your career forward. Your experience working with a combination of client, consultancy or contractor businesses will give you that all-round appreciation. You’ll have an engineering qualification (ideally in civil or structural engineering, but we will consider other areas). Alongside a good chunk of post degree experience which will include applying CDM, health and safety and industry best practice, you’ll have exposure to working in the rail industry and the icing on the cake would be some experience as working as a project manager. You’ll be able to manage a wide range of stakeholders, from contractors delivering on site, to clients in the specification stages of projects. CPMS is a small but growing infrastructure consultancy of around 90 people with ambitious growth plans for the next 3 years and beyond.
