Overview
Financial Divisions are delighted to be supporting a large Wealth Management firm, in their search for an Investment Management Associate. You will be responsible for supporting the Investment Managers in the management of their client portfolios. I am looking for someone with 2-3 years’ experience in a similar Investment support role. Preferably degree qualified. Level 4 or Level 6 RDR qualified preferred but not essential. If not, has ambitions to work towards getting the relevant qualifications and CF30 in place within one year of joining. You will be tasked with building blotters and structuring investment strategies for current and prospective clients to present to Investment Managers and identify to the Investment Managers any large overweight cash positions which may need addressing. You will prepare personalised reports for clients and prepare pitch books for prospect clients. You will take the lead in the preparation work for client review meetings and understand the preferences of the individual investment managers in their presentation and material preferences. When you are qualified with internal sign off, you will take ownership of hard trades where necessary. This is a great time to join an expanding firm, where multiple opportunities will arise as the firm makes additional strategic acquisitions, and you could work towards becoming an Investment Manager and grow own book. You will need to keep up to date with financial news and geopolitical developments. Be able to develop opinions on financial market related news stories. Have the ability to take initiative and be generally pro-active in approach to task management. You will also need to have strong financial analysis skills - able to understand company balance sheets, basic financial ratios and is able to draw key points of suitable investments for clients from factsheets and information provided by funds.
