Hours: 37.5 hours per week (OFFICE HOURS ONLY, NO NIGHT OR WEEKEND WORK, PLUS ROTATIONAL PAID ON CALL COVER.) Salary: Band I up to £40,182 per annum - Equivalent to top band 6 / band 7 AFC NMC fees paid. This is an exciting role for a successful candidate to join the children’s and young people’s mental health service during a period of growth and development. We have a vacancy for a Registered Nurse Manager with experience of working in children’s and young people’s mental health services. Athelstan House is a CQC registered 6 bedded home located in Southampton that provides a mental health rehabilitation and recovery service for young people transitioning from Tier 4 in-patient services. The care we deliver is based on a community model, with a non-restraint policy, encouraging young people to re-integrate into society whilst being supported in developing successful futures. We are looking for a Nurse who has passion for working with young people and also understands the importance of developing a team and role modelling best practice aligned with our values and behaviors: P rofessional A ttitude, A ccepting, R eflecting and T ransparent. You will be at the forefront of managing, guiding and leading the team to provide high-quality mental health care. You need to be familiar with the processes around managing staff, budgets, governance, risk management and clinical standards of care, plus robust in your decision making. You must be service user centred, have excellent organisational skills and be passionate to make a difference to people’s lives. You will need to lead the service effectively and safely ensuring compliance with legal and statutory legislation and adherence to best practice guidelines whilst delivering outstanding and inclusive quality care. This role is suitable for a more senior nurse of any discipline with the relevant experience (5 years post registration), but we would consider a developmental role for a band 6 as support and training will be given to ensure success. In this role you will be supported by an experienced and passionate team of staff, in addition to peers in similar roles within the health service and the wider organisation, plus a HRBP and Director.
