Overview

In Plant Ink Technician Inktech Ltd is a market leading privately owned manufacturer of solvent based liquid inks, paints and specialist coatings based in Rochdale, Lancashire. We are looking to recruit an Ink Technician to work at a customer's site in the Midlands/South West of England. This person will be the day to day face of the business and an important link between Inktech and the customer. Previous experience in a similar role is preferable. The customer is a large printer of flexible packaging. Responsibilities: · Mixing ink and ensuring it goes to the press right first time · Lifting, moving and storing of ink buckets · Controlling press returns · Meeting KPI's set by the customer including down time and stock levels · Maintaining inventory to meet the customer's needs · On press colour matching and technical support · Working to varying customer and production demands · Creating and maintaining a colour/formulation library · Colour matching and check-weighing ink formulations · Being responsible for all other ink related matters at the customer site including ordering, swatch creation, solvent control and VOC monitoring · Taking an overall flexible approach to the job requirements Qualifications (Skills - Education - Experience): · Previous lab / in-plant experience · Flexo ink knowledge preferred · Colour matching ability · Understanding of X-Rite systems. · Spectrophotometer knowledge · Excellent verbal & written communication skills · Good computer skills in MS Office An excellent package is on offer for this role.
