Our transport operations include; Pallet Network Services, Groupage Transport and Full Load Transport. We pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional service to our customers. With our owned, modern fleet we serve a varied customer base in a fast-paced and exacting environment. We are looking for a strong administrator to join our warehouse team, to assist with the smooth running of freight transactions inbound and outbound throughout our warehouse whilst maintaining accurate system records and customer service levels. Role Description · Answering the phone and booking in deliveries and collections and diary management. · Dealing with and efficiently communicating customer queries, reporting back to customers accurately and efficiently discrepancies and damaged goods. · Handling a small portfolio of customers directly. · Raising and processing warehouse goods coming in and goods going out while maintaining accurate system records adhering to individual storage customers procedures. · Dealing with delivery and collection drivers daily. · Co-ordinating and scheduling stock movements and organising these with warehouse staff teams. · Input and maintenance of stock records and stock control locations. · Storage customer system housekeeping. · Working alongside warehouse staff, pickers, forklift operators etc, and assisting in stock checks and investigating discrepancies in/out. · General filing and administration duties. · Using multiple IT packages including MS Office and our own in-house traffic and warehouse management systems. · Maintaining accurate records and documents including emails, letters, files, reports, KPIs and photos. · Maintain open communications with transport and other department to ensure an efficient operation. Other Elements of the role · Liaising with customer services to manage customer requirements and expectations. · Working with the rest of the transport team to manage resources and consignments in and out. · Working with the PalletForce team to help manage consignments going in to and out of the network. · You will be contracted to work 40 hours per week, but some flexibility is required to make sure our customers’ requirements are met. We may be able to flex start and finish times around your personal life depending on your requirements. Personal Specification · A Professional and can-do attitude. · A methodical, logical approach with good problem-solving abilities. · A keen eye for detail and accuracy. · A confident communicator who has the strength of character to talk to drivers and team members. · An ability to work with others in a busy office in a calm, respectful and professional manner. · Comfortable with job share and be able to support other members of your team. · An understanding of the need to follow procedures and communicate potential improvements or flaws. · Can quickly gain a good understanding of the customer base, their freight and the market we operate in. · Focussed on delivering a consistently high level of customer satisfaction. · Able to create, develop and maintain strong working relationship with colleagues. · Good decision-making skills, able to analyse, prioritise and plan as well as responding to quickly changing workloads. · A desire and ability to 'get the job done' and 'get it done right'. Whilst obviously a benefit, candidates do not necessarily need to have warehouse admin experience, providing they meet the Personal Specifications listed above. This is an exciting opportunity and full training will be given. An excellent package will be offered to the right candidate with good salary growth potential for good performance.
