Strive are delighted to represent our client, a market leading Pharmaceutical logistics organization with a significant national network, in their search for an exceptional Transport Operations Manager for their brand-new distribution facility near Doncaster . This is a superb opportunity to take ownership of the transport team’s operational performance and be a key player in the growth and development of the sites transport operation. Reporting into the Head Of Transport, you will be expected to manage the efficient running of the whole transport Operation, including vehicles, drivers and support staff, seeking to improve performance and challenge the teams daily accountabilities whilst ensuring full O’ Licence adherence and MHRA compliance. Key Responsibilities: · Full compliance to the legislative undertakings of our Operators Licence · Ensure a Safe and Secure working environment in line with policy and legislation · Ensure all MHRA regulations are upheld along with company SOP’s to safeguard product integrity and cool chain stipulations · Ensure full adherence to all H&S stipulations · Development and delivery of Transport KPI's across all teams · Development and delivery of financial budgets · Management, leadership and development of the Planning Supervisors and their team · Actively manage staff relations to help progress a culture of change and ensuring continuous improvement in line with the needs of the business · Work closely with Supply Chain team and other DCs to formulate and deliver the overall strategy · Engage with external service providers and maintain strong working relationships · Full ownership of vehicles and trailers including the rental of vehicles · Production of detailed and timely reports on all aspects of the operation · Utilise and improve the current systems to manage operational KPI’s such as cost, Tachograph infringements, speeding occasions and Working time directive requirements. The Candidate: · CPC is essential for this role · Excellent people management skills · Excellent knowledge of transport operations in a high volume multi-drop parcel and pallet network C&D environment · Previous experience in a pharmaceutical or other highly regulated environment would be advantageous · A desire to exceed both our client and internal customers’ expectations on service and delivery · A flexible and methodical approach to work/training/working hours · A conscientious and reliable attitude · The ability to effectively prioritise workload in order to meet set deadlines This is a fantastic opportunity that offers growth within a very established business with an experienced and supportive senior management team around you.
