RE-ENTRY SYSTEM INSPECTOR An opportunity to join an international aerospace defence company has come about with an opening for a Re-Entry System Inspector The company offers fantastic benefits in addition to training and the opportunity for career progression. The Role Based in Helensburgh, Scotland, the focus of the role will be to ensure that all SWS Engineering and Quality functions relating to specifics projects are controlled and performed in line with both US and UK SWS project, safety and quality requirements. Responsibility will include: Perform direct inspection tasks relating to various defence systems and associated support equipment Highlight discrepant conditions arising during inspection and processing activities. Verify processing documentation is complete and adequate ahead of the relevant task starting Carry out receiving inspection of items within the processing areas, and sentence using relevant accept/reject criteria and shelf life data where required Who we’re looking for You will have a mixed mechanical and electrical hands-on engineering background, able to work well in a team with strong communication skills. We’ll also need you to: Be able to analyse and use evidence in decision making Be adaptable to meet changing priorities and deadlines Hold an Engineering Craft Apprenticeship in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline The role would most suit someone who comes from the aerospace, defence, vehicle & offshore, or nuclear industries due to the nature of the business and projects. You will also need to currently hold or undergo DV Clearance.
