Overview
This leading insurer is seeking an established Claims Actuary to join its Claims Centre of Excellence in its North West based operation. In this newly created team, you will report to the Head of Claims Analytics, where you will have responsibility for overseeing several Claims Analysts. You will manage the relationship between Claims Analytics, Reserving and Claims Operations to improve the mutual understanding of the three areas’ work, output and processes. In addition, you will analyse data to interpret trends, investigate root causes and provide a summary of recommendations on a monthly basis across all Claims Operations to ensure collaborative working and shared goals are achieved. As this is a newly created role, there is a genuine opportunity to put your 'own stamp’ on things and make a real difference. This role is essential to the Claims Advanced Analytics journey which is targeted with delivering £40m indemnity savings over the next 3 years. This will not be possible without you developing a robust approach, with the backing and support of your team. The role requires technical excellence in insurance, analytical capability and understanding of actuarial processes to support the claims delivery in advanced analytics programmes. It is important to work in line with regulatory frameworks and adhere to FCA guidelines. You will be used to working with complex data and have experience of using R or Python to manipulate data. Whilst not a prerequisite, it would add weight to your application if you are FIA or ACII qualified or have a relevant degree.
