Vehicle Test & Development Engineer – Electric Vehicle – Coventry – Perm/Contract £40k - £55k DOE This is an exceptional opportunity for a Vehicle Test & Development Engineer to provide technical direction within vehicle test & development for a range of hybrid battery electric vehicles. The Vehicle Test & Development Engineer will be responsible for test & development activities to meet project goals. They will be able to provide guidance on industry best practice and support the product development process through to production. What you will do: As Vehicle Test & Development Engineer To lead the vehicle test & development for various new vehicle platforms. To provide technical leadership/guidance in the field of Vehicle Test & Development for hybrid battery electric and gasoline vehicles. To be responsible for the analysis and related test and development activities for the technical area both externally and in the project workshops. To establish collaborative test, research and product development activities with partner organisations and suppliers. To actively participate in decision making and planning reviews to ensure timely delivery of the programmes to the benefit of internal parties and external collaborators. What you will need: As Vehicle Test & Development Engineer A degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Proven experience in Vehicle Test & Development in delivery of an end to end vehicle program. Proven experience of delivering vehicle systems from a concept level. Confident leading meetings and ability to evaluate technical problems to ensure clear direction. An understanding of the requirements for Vehicle Test & Development that can be found within the automotive industry. Ability to communicate appropriate, concise and accurate information, both in writing and verbally.
