Overview

A chance to join a company that are looking to progress an individual through their studies to full qualification as an accountant. The role of assistant accountant has arisen with the departure of someone who qualified with the business and is now looking to progress in their career. The role reports into the Financial Controller and will require someone to take control of the month end process and reporting. The business will look at some with AAT, ACCA or CIMA studies to be completed in the long term but needs someone that is able to join the business and complete most of the tasks that are listed below. The company have a supportive manager with a small team of clerks that tend to do most of the processing. The successful individual will be required to do some of the processing but also take responsibility for monthly tasks and reports for the large group that the company are part of. This business have a proven track record in developing and helping people grow. Duties: Monthly reporting tasks Accruals, prepayments and journals Resolution of all queries Bank reconciliations General ledger duties Balance sheet reconciliations VAT, EC Sales listing, Intrastat returns ERP systems experience Person spec: AAT, ACCA or CIMA Studier Foreign currency experience Proactive task oriented and flexible individual Good Excel and systems skills Good communication skills
