We are looking for a Group Accounts Supervisor to join our busy finance team within the Hertfordshire office (Turnford). The role plays a key part in the day-to-day business with a particular focus on Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable. What you’ll be doing; Working closely with our Group Accounts Manager, you’ll responsible for reviewing current processes for efficiency, ensuring strong financial controls throughout the company's processes and systems, managing team objectives & development and supporting activities will encompass a range of hands-on tasks and providing proactive analysis and insight on business performance. Key Responsibilities; Supervising team to ensure tasks are complete to company deadlines Maintain efficient and effective filing system Continuous review of processes for best practice and efficiency Regular 1-2-1 reviews with team and yearly appraisals Processing and payment of supplier invoices in accordance with supplier terms and conditions Perform supplier statement reconciliation Processing of remittances, bank payments and applying client payments Resolving creditor queries Batching remittances for daily input to Great Plains Applying client payments to invoices Chasing clients/credit control for missing remittances Download and Posting daily bank statements Set up day to day bank payments and account transfers Supporting with monthly management accounts procedures and reporting What you’ll have; A minimum of two years’ experience within a similar role Familiarity with Great Plains system would be advantageous but not essential Good accounting knowledge and a commercial approach Experience in customer relations & solving queries in effective time scale Ability to work autonomously with a hands-on approach, good organizational skills and the ability to respond to tight deadlines Competent IT skills including Excel What we can offer you; Salary: £26,000 In exchange for your hard work, we can offer excellent benefits including 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, company pension scheme where we match your contribution up to 5%.
