JOB TITLE: Section Engineer - Lower Thames Crossing LOCATION: Grays/Gravesend TYPE: Permanent START DATE: ASAP Would you like to join a world class team to help to construct the Lower Thames Tunnel Crossing? T he Lower Thames Crossing will be the largest single road investment project in the UK since the M25 was completed more than 30 years ago. Rullion are proud to be partnering with Balfour Beatty to recruit for Section Engineers to join the Highways team for this project. What you'll be doing: The successful Section Manager will be required to manage, monitor and maintain the programme of works ensuring that all work is delivered safely, on time and to budget. Along with managing equipment and materials. Typical duties would include: Liaison between the Sub Agent and client on site. Managing and coordinating the subcontractors and site engineers Carrying out quality inspections as required Carrying out complex setting out Amending and writing method statements and risk assessments Producing a weekly programme and measure progress against KPIs Communicating weekly programme and targets to the workforce Ensuring a relentless focus on Zero Harm. What we're looking for: You will be able to demonstrate strong heavy civils or bulk earthworks experience as a Section Engineer ideally gained within the UK motorway or highway network. You will have completed construction related degree or will have gained equivalent experience within industry. You will hold a current driving license and CSCS Card. SSSTS or SMSTS qualified You should be a strong communicator who can ensure that the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure are followed accurately. Suggests improvements to systems You will be capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes with clarity You can demonstrate a strong work ethic with flexibility to work unsociable hours/nights You will work on own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with level of responsibility What's we offer: In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive a competitive salary, a company car, private healthcare, contributory pension, up to 25 days paid leave per year plus a range of other fantastic employee benefits.
