Overview
I am currently recruiting for full and part time positions for a Care Assistant (Nights) role for a Elderly Residential Home for service users suffering from the likes of Dementia. This is a fantastic opportunity, and if you are someone who can think outside of the box, is compassionate and has empathy and is proactive then this is an opportunity for you. The nightly duties of this role with include: -Handover of the shift to and from the day staff -Cleaning routines -Checking the security -Occasionally, time in the kitchen -Assisting service users throughout the night to ensure they are comfortable and have everything that they need -Recording notes -Assisting service users in the morning -Personal care -Dealing with challenging behaviour associated with Dementia Minimum requirements: -Relevant experience, personal or paid -An understanding of the type of service users you would be working with The shift patterns can range from 1 night to 3 nights a week. With the shift times being 8PM - 8AM. The days you work is dependent upon you & the homes need, and it is possible for these nights to be set. Also, there will be bank work available when there is sickness and holidays.
