Overview
A long established and very successful Electronics sub contractor based in Basildon, Essex are seeking an experienced Electronic / Mechanical Assembly Technician. This role is based in a modern and well equipped factory with excellent facilities. You will be assembling electronic or mechanical products from work packs using assembly fixtures and power bench tools. Duties will include: Cut and Crimp wires Form, connect and perform simple soldering in accordance with instructions Fit and align assemblies Recognise defective parts Inspect final assemblies on a variety of assembly operations Essential skills required: Read and interpret documentation such as build instructions, procedure material, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions Must have the ability to crimp and loom Wiring experience and/or experience from a mechanical production or assembly environment Ability to use hand and power tools Close attention to detail Not essential, but the following skills would be an advantage: Wireperson experience Inspection to IPC 620 Potting Conformal coating Soldering Salary negotiable dependant on skills. Full time permanent role working Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4pm and Fridays early finish at 1.30pm. Car owner is required unless local to Basildon, due to location of the company.
