Azure VMWare Cloud Technologies Our client is a leading technology solutions provider, they are a Cloud first company and Microsoft Gold Partner. Due to their continued success they are looking to hire an experienced Technical Architect to join the organisation. The business has been delivering IT solutions for over 20 years and offers a wide range of professional Managed IT services from Cloud solutions, data centre migrations and security. The successful Technical Architect must combine a solid understanding of cloud computing and technology systems, along with experience of managing a team of analysts. Responsibilities: - Line management of a team of Technical Analysts - Developing technical roadmaps for cloud implementations - Ensuring security is integrated into cloud solutions - Working closely with the Sales Team creating solution propositions, alongside presenting solutions to customers interpreting customer needs - Solution crafting and architecture for new cloud systems and migrations - Planning for service implementation/transition/introduction, inclusive of change management services Requirements: - Knowledge of cloud hosting services such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services - Microsoft Windows-based networks and servers - Ability to construct a UAT testing programme and deliver and test a working solution - Ability to design robust and supportable solutions - Knowledge of Scripting and Programming - Cloud and Infrastructure design - Virtualised environments - Hyper-V and VMware migrations - Migrations to cloud and non-cloud-based products - Linux server experience (desirable) - Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert AZ-300/AZ-301 (highly desirable) Skills Qualifications Degree Level Educated (Preferred) Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-300, AZ-301) GCSE Maths and English Grade C or higher (or equivalent) Experience -Worked as a Technical Architect previously -General skills (communication, questioning, problem solving) -Networking fundamentals -Basic knowledge of cloud hosting services, such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services -Microsoft Windows-based networks and servers, including Active Directory -Ability to accurately test and diagnose problems in a systematic and logical manner prior to delivering projects to implementation -Ability to construct a UAT testing programme and deliver and test a working solution that meets the defined success criteria, handing over to the User Experience team where necessary -Ability to design robust and supportable solutions with low administration and helpdesk overhead -Ability to translate client requirements into a design of a productivity environment, working with the Platforms and User Experience teams to provide an end user experience that meets these requirements -High attention to detail, with an emphasis on providing a seamless, fuss-free but functionally rich end user experience to our clients -Knowledge of scripting and programming fundamentals -Cloud and Infrastructure Design -High level strategy and Cloud Adoption experience -Azure Security Center, Express Route, Key Vault, VNets etc -Azure Active Directory - Multi forest/Domain environment (consolidation required) -Hybrid Cloud environment experience -Hardware platforms, and their virtualised equivalents, eg: Hyper-V, VMWare -Migrations -Disaster Recovery, High Availability, Business Continuity -Strong documentation and communication skills Personal Characteristics and Behaviours -Strong and consistent leadership -Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt style to relevant audience -High degree of diligence and professionalism and meticulous attention to detail -Able to lead internal and external stakeholder groups and influence to achieve win-win outcomes -Ability to maintain a positive attitude and calm demeanour when under high pressure -Personable, with an ability to quickly build rapport and trust Other -Valid driving license -Own transport
