Overview

Creative Support is a high quality provider of support to individuals with a wide range of care needs including learning disabilities, mental health and other needs. Employing over 5,000 staff members, we are continuing to grow at a fast pace nationally and are looking for dedicated, caring individuals to join our staff team in your local area. This role represents an opportunity to utilize your existing experience and knowledge of working with adults with a learning disability and forensic background. We are developing a bespoke 24 hour accommodation based service for 5 individuals in the Heysham area. This new service is currently based in Lancaster, where you will be based during the transitional phase before the service moves to its new property in Heysham. You will support the service in making this relocation that aims to be completed within twelve months. You will be warm, understanding, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be highly motivated and interested in working with people with complex needs and histories. You will be emotionally resilient and open to working with our Practice Lead to develop your approach to enable the service to strive to learn and change with our service users. You will provide practical support to individuals to enable them to participate in community activities, you will also work with and develop a personal support plan that addresses individual specific needs helping service users to develop domestic, financial and emotional management and achieve greater independence and self-esteem. You will actively liaise with statutory, voluntary agencies and advocates/family members. We need dedicated, flexible and responsive individuals to provide personalised support in line with the principles of recovery. We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated, have a positive outlook and are able to engage and motivate individuals to participate in a range of activities. You will have a keen insight into the challenges that our client base face on a daily basis and awareness of the delivery of supported living care.
