Relief Support Workers - various shifts
Overview
Job Description
Are you looking for work with adaptable hours? Could you support people with Learning Disabilities to live full and productive lives? You'll be a Relief Support Worker at our Registered Care home in Ludlow, Shropshire, where we support five lovely people who have a range of learning disabilities. They enjoy gardening, listening to music, and as we begin to come out of lock-down, they're looking forward to getting out and about again, maybe even down to the local for a pint. What does Relief work mean? You'll provide additional support as needed when our regular staff are on holiday or at other times we need an extra pair of hands. You'll be paid on an hourly basis and you are free to let us know whether or not you're available to work a certain shift. Our manager will keep in regular touch with you to let you know when work is available. It's often a great fit for social care students looking to earn some extra money while gaining valuable experience, or for anyone who can't commit to set hours but wants to make a positive difference in people's lives. We have regular availability for day, evening and night shift work, and our regular rota covers weekends and public holidays. About us MacIntyre is an award-winning national charity supporting over 1,500 people with learning disabilities and/or autism. We celebrate everyone's unique gifts, talents and contributions. What we need from you You don't need experience, as we provide a full induction and free training programme. What's important is that you share our values, have a positive approach and are willing to learn. It would be helpful if you are a driver with a manual licence, in order to drive the service vehicles, but this is not essential. Training and benefits MacIntyre provides a full induction and ongoing training, including the opportunity to gain nationally accredited vocational qualifications, free of charge. Our benefits include: * 30 days' annual leave (including public holidays) * Workplace pension scheme * MacIntyre Perks which offers up to 6% discount off leading retailers including Tesco, Curry/PC World, Costa and many more * Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) to support your health and wellbeing * MacIntyre Staff Savings Scheme * Cashplan which provides money back on core health treatments such as: optical, dental, physiotherapy, chiropody * MacIntyre Rewards Scheme * MacIntyre pays for your DBS check Part-time positions are pro rata.
