Overview
Seven Social Care are looking for a temporary SEND Caseworker to work with Durham County Council. These positions are initially for 3 months and will be paying from £11.88 - £14.50 per hour via an umbrella company. The role: We are seeking to appoint a temporary caseworker to join the SEND team responsible for facilitating the statutory responsibilities of the Local Authority. To ensure all children with special educational needs, or children and young people looked after, are able to access the best possible education provision that ensures ongoing progress and achievement, good educational outcomes and are prepared for adulthood. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate the statutory assessment processes for children and young people Produce high quality Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) to support the identified special educational needs for individual children Monitor the education of Looked After Children Ensure identified groups of vulnerable children and young people have appropriate education and support in place to enable their progress and achievement Applicant Requirements: Qualifications: N/A. Experience: 2 years working within a similar role. Compliance: Current DBS check. Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently. Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
