A fantastic opportunity is available for a Healthcare Assistant to join a well-established mental health hospital on the North London/Herts border. Based in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, the successful Healthcare Assistant will join the care team earning a salary of £19,838 per annum. Vision Mental Healthcare specialises in providing the highest quality of service for people with mental health problems. The hospital has 31 in-patient beds and is designated high dependency/restricted access rehabilitation. Vision Mental Healthcare provides care and treatment for a range of mental health illnesses, supported by NHS patient funding. As a Healthcare Assistant your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Identifying signs that may indicate that patients are at risk either to others or to themselves and reporting these concerns to the relevant staff members Delivering sensitive and appropriate clinical care to meet individual’s needs Interacting in a positive and natural manner with all patients Delivering a caring and effective, patient focused service Respecting personal dignity and beliefs Working closely with the nursing team Please be aware that as this is a 24-hour service, there are various shift options available, namely full-time, permanent nights and evenings only. Also, staff are expected to work on weekends on a rotational basis. To be considered for the Healthcare Assistant position you must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and must be committed to a patient-centred ethos.
