Overview
Integra Education is currently recruiting for online counsellors to support students who are based at home. As a virtual counsellor you will be supporting small groups and / or individual students with special educational needs, mental health or anxiety disorders. The successful candidate will be patient, kind with a caring nature and will have a passion for supporting young people. You should also have excellent listening and communication skills and the ability to tailor your approach to the individual needs of the student and develop a non-judgemental and trusting environment in which information is dealt with in a confidential manner. As a virtual counsellor you will be expected to help students gain a deeper understanding of their own concerns and subsequently, make decisions and choices regarding possible way’s forward. Hours of work can be 1-2 hour sessions at a time and can make up to full time work. Pay £19 p/h. Requirements: Degree or equivalent in Counselling or Psychology Graduates welcome to apply and those skilled / qualified in Health & Social Care, Criminology and Sociology. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role and in an educational environment Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new DBS.
