Overview
Working for a professional services firm in the Huddersfield area as Payroll Officer you will take full responsibility for processing all confidential payroll information along with dealing highly confidential and sensitive HR related information Main duties and responsibilities are to include but not be exclusive to: Answering employee questions and responding to requests including processing new starters. Promote content within the Employee Handbook to all employees, to ensure understanding. Ensure the HR system is updated and holds accurate information Maintains payroll information directing the collection calculation and input of data including overtime, SSP SMP Pensions etc Processing of weekly timesheets/reporting overtime, seeking authorisation. Assistance in the production of payslips (paper and e-payslips) for secure issue Responsible for issuing e-P60s to employees and ensuring final payments are processed to Inland Revenue adhering to set deadlines. Administration of auto enrolment pension scheme. P11D preparation and submission and payrolling benefits in kind. Maintaining company car schedule, reviewing personal vehicle documentation. Reconciliation of wage control accounts/Journals. Submitting correct RTI files. Payments (P.A.Y.E) Maintaining the payroll mailbox. This opportunity would suit someone who has a strong previous background in Payroll and who is confident and capable of ensuring all Payroll related tasks run as efficiently as possible You will be comfortable working to tight deadlines in an efficient yet accurate manner and will have strong communication skills as the role will involve significant interaction with employees in query handling when needed.
