Are you a Senior Software Engineer who thrives in creating a fun, dynamic engineering environment? This company has been cited as one of the top 20 tech start-ups people would like to work for Coming up to what will be their fifth year in existence as a business, they've grown to a size of over 700 employees, won multiple nationally recognised tech awards and they're now going global. We are looking for a passionate, curious, hands-on Senior Software Engineers interested in joining a successful team of entrepreneurs, technologists, designers, and brand/customer experts coming from a wide range of backgrounds including the most renowned and innovative Finance, Gaming, Media and eCommerce Technology led companies. They currently have around 150 engineers in the company and a famously flat structure; however, they are looking to hire around another 50 Software Engineers by the end of the year. This is a hands-on role but one where you will also have responsibilities of designing and leading the build of new products and features. The Tech Stack/ Environment: Java 8, Java 11, Kotlin, Apache, Docker, Maven, PostgreSQL, AWS, Microservices, Agile, JUnit, Mockito, TDD You do not need experience with all the technologies listed above. This is a 'Tech Fluid' environment and so the stack varies from project to project and/or team to team. Is this Senior Software Engineer role right for you? You will… Love coding (Java, Kotlin) and love putting things live, typically in more than one platform. Can turn an idea into a live product. Believe in clean coding, simple solutions, automated testing and continuous deployment. Have experience from a range of roles and understand what works and doesn't. Can create an environment of engineering brilliance within their team. They are good at identifying and removing obstacles from their team, allowing the engineers in it to perform. Want to actively keep up with changes in engineering best practice both internally and externally.
