Job Title: London Market Property & Casualty Underwriter Location: London (City) Package: £40,000 & benefits package Industry: Insurance Job Type: Permanent _________________________________________________________________________________ One of the UK markets leading insurance providers is looking to recruit a London Market Property & Casualty Underwriter to contribute to the growth targeting the mid-corporate marketplace. The Company ·This global business is one of the most respected names in the insurance industry, focussing on the corporate end of the market and providing leading risk managed solutions. ·The business is financially very strong, allowing continued growth in the London City market place. The Role ·You will join a team in growth mode, tasked with identifying and underwriting profitable corporate business, both new and renewal. ·The focus is very much on quality, working in partnership with the broker/clientbase to build long term solutions to mitigate risk through managed insurance programmes. ·This is very much a trading role, working with the market and given the autonomy and authority to make commercial and underwriting decisions You ·You will be an ambitious individual, ready and able to trade with the City's largest broking houses and corporate clients - ideally trading at this level with a corporate insurer, or able to demonstrate the ability to step up. ·Strong knowledge of property and casualty risks is important, as is the communication and negotiation skills required for a trading role. ·Naturally existing market relationships are an advantage, although not essential as our client is well known in the City of London ·ACII and/or NEBOSH qualification, or work towards is preferred but not essential.
