Overview
An inspiring charitable trust dedicated to improving the lives of children based in Birmingham City Centre are recruiting for an immediately available Part-time Accountant on an interim basis. With a national reach and a full calendar of fundraising events they are looking for a confident yet pleasant experienced Accountant. You will take full ownership of the general ledger accounts with the ability to quickly, accurately and efficiently report the trust's financial position to senior leaders. The Part- time Accountant position is focused on conducting monthly ledger and balance sheet duties including; purchase order queries, bank reconciliations, maintaining prepayments/accruals and credit control. This will be a standalone role working within a team of non-finance colleagues. Ideally you will: Be qualified by experience or part qualified in accounting Previously have worked in a role preparing monthly accounting entries Have experience liaising with Auditors regarding statutory accounts Possess demonstrable experience handling year end and month end financial provisions In return you will: Work with an inspirational organisation helping to deliver effective charitable works Have a varied workload mixed with both corporate and charitable stakeholders Gain excellent exposure within a fun filled organisation This Part -time Accountant position is a fantastic opportunity to join a young charity that is continuing to grow and widen its reach year by year.
