About the Company Our client is a new Residential Childcare organisation who are opening their first children’s home in the Canvey Island area of Essex and they are currently recruiting for an experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager. The home will be a 4/5 bedded unit and will cater to male and female residents with EBD/behavioural problems. The Role The role of the Registered Manager will be to lead a team of staff members in meeting the needs of the vulnerable young people who require high levels of supervision and support in terms of developing skills for independent living, support with education, training or employment, emotional support and guidance. Also ensuring all OFSTED standards are met and exceeded. The successful candidate will also be expected to help write and implement a vision for the new home. Requirements •You will hold a Level 4/5 Diploma qualification or equivalent •Previous experience of managing a Children’s Residential home with at least a GOOD OFSTED rating. •Good knowledge of current OFSTED legislations, including the ability to write and implement policies. •Ability to complete all managerial and administrative duties. Salary £41,000 to £45,000 depending on experience year (plus bonuses) Days/Hours Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. Some flexibility to work outside of these hours may be required occasionally.
