Frontend Software Engineer – Next.Js, React, Node.js Manchester City Centre £45k - £60k Dependant on experience and level This is a brand-new opportunity for a Senior Frontend Developer to join one of the UK’s leading technology companies in their amazing Manchester City Centre offices. Currently the market-leader in their UK sector, they now plan to takeover the European market and therefore growth and opportunity will be huge in this role. Getting the Frontend architecture right has been a major project over the last 12 months and they’re now embarking on the rebuild of x6 micro-sites for their various brands, along with further front-end projects to enhance the customer experience. As out successful Frontend Developer, you will join one of their two Frontend teams and play a key hands-on role on these exciting projects within their Continuous Delivery, Devops environment. Along with daily programming, you’ll be mentoring the more Junior Developers as the ‘expert in the room’ and also helping to shape the technical direction in your team. Naturally you’ll be a strong communicator and a natural collaborator with a passion for both learning new tech, but also passing on your knowledge to the team and wider stakeholders within the Engineering division. The tech stack is naturally focussed around TDD Javascript with the new architecture utilising Next.js, supported by React and Node.js. Experience in these would be awesome, however we realise you’ll pick them up quickly if you’re the right type of candidate who has used similar extensively (Angular, Vue.js, Nest, etc). This is a perfect role for a ‘Future leader’. You still love being a Developer but can see yourself moving into more of a leadership role in the future and enjoy the added responsibility of making you more Junior colleagues better developers.
