Linux Systems Administrator – Windows - Financial / Banking. Candidate must have strong Linux Systems Administration including Builds, Installs, Troubleshooting and Performance Tuning with a minimum 4 years Scripting in any of … Python, Bash, Perl, R, PowerShell with any DevOps and AWS beneficial. Preferred candidates will have a broader skillset including some Windows Desktop / Server and strong Relational Database Skills - SQL Server, Postgress, Oracle or Sybase. Whilst candidates with NO previous Financial experience WILL be considered ideal candidates will come from a Financial / Banking Background with some E-Trading Application Support looking after a number of Financial Trading Applications and Market Data Systems with some FIX connectivity / Client On-boarding and troubleshooting. Essential Skills: · Strong Linux / Unix System Administration – RedHat, Ubuntu, CENTOS, SuSE, Solaris. · Windows Desktop – 7/8/10. · Windows Server / Active Directory - 2008/12/16. · Shell Scripting – Python, R, Perl, Powershell, Bash. · Strong knowledge of Relational Databases – SQL Server, Postgress, Oracle. Any experience of Low Latency / HFT (High Frequency Trading) Algorithmic Trading Systems advantageous including BIOS / Kernel Tuning and Optimization … any DevOps experience would also be highly beneficial although this is a superb opportunity offering someone with the core skills to gain some exposure to other areas. Non Essential But Highly Desirable Skills: · DevOps experience, AWS, Splunk. · Previous Application Support (Ideally E-Trading / Market Data Systems). · Experience supporting Futures & Options Trading / Settlement Systems. · Knowledge of at least one of the ISV’s products- Fidessa, Trading Technologies, Stellar, ULLink, WebICE, Object Trading / Vela, ION / Patsystems, Trayport. · Exchange Connectivity – ICE / LIFFE, Eurex, CME / CBOT, Xetra, Chi-X, LME, LSE, NYSE. · FIX Connectivity – Client On-boarding, Support / Troubleshooting of FIX Logs / Connections. · Other Market Data – Reuters, Bloomberg, CQG, Ateo (Teo and Lisa).
