Overview

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to take responsibility for the day to day activities of a small Finance Department. You will have one person reporting, and the role will be a very hand on position. Your remit will be varied and will include looking after ledgers; raising sales invoices and making timely supplier payments. Banking and bank reconciliations, as well as preparing and submitting timely VAT returns, and undertaking any necessary credit control work. You will also take responsibility for monthly credit card reconciliations, control all cash handling processes and make all requisite HMRC payments. In addition, you will also prepare timely monthly management accounts, prepare and analyse annual budgets and prepare cash flow forecasts, whilst maintaining a fixed asset register. The payroll is run by another person, but you will be required to supervise the process and to act as cover during holiday periods. The accounts are run on Pegasus software, and whilst previous experience of this software is not essential, it might prove advantageous, as would any previous experience of working in the charity sector. Our client is welcoming applications from either fully qualified Accountants as well as part qualified Accountants and those who are qualified by experience. You should have previous experience of running a Finance Office, and be able to demonstrate that you are happy in a hands on role, whilst also being capable of undertaking the higher end work.
