Business Development Manager Location: London. Salary : £24,000 - £30,000 per annum, negotiable. Contract: Full time, permanent. About us We are a leading training and consultancy provider based in London. We specialise in helping organisations and individuals manage projects, deliver organisational change, and improve operational efficiency by providing expert training that covers project management, change management, agile development, Lean Six Sigma, as well as management soft skills. We offer various formats of training including face to face, self-paced online training or virtual training. Over the last 15 years, we have established a reputable brand in the market and grown from strength to strength. About the role Due to continued growth we are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to explore and develop new clients who would be interested in either sending their members to our public courses or take up bespoke in-house training and consultancy service. Your role will be to build relationships with Learning and Development Managers, HR Managers, Directors and any other decision makers in order to understand their learning & development strategies and how your services may help them to meet their challenges going forward. Duties will include: • Making outbound calls to fact find, ensure correct contacts and establish a need • Building relationships with potential clients who may have a need for your services • Arranging and sitting appointments with clients when needed • Putting together and presenting bespoke proposals for clients • Negotiating with clients • Account Management to develop client relationships and encourage referrals • Attending networking events to promote the business and establish a referral network • Use of social media, in particular LinkedIn • Sending and following up of email and direct mail campaigns We are looking for an experienced salesperson who can deal with people at all levels. You must be a self-motivated self-starter who is able to build and execute your own strategy. You MUST be happy making sales calls as this is an integral part of the role. Ideally you will have experience in the learning & development / training / HR sectors. However, we will also consider people with a strong B2B background in service industries. This is a good opportunity for the right person to join a successful and inspirational business with an impressive client base. In return you will receive a competitive basic salary dependent upon experience with a completely uncapped commission scheme. Your commission will be based on all the income from any clients that you develop and manage. This is a full-time role; however, flexible working/ part-time hours will be considered for the right person. A central London based office is available but working from home will also be considered.
