The role Westminster are seeking to invest in an ambitious and motivated Senior Network Engineer who will take a lead in the design, development, implementation and operational support for the Infrastructure, Data & Telecoms Team. Working with the wider networks team you will support the effective and efficient delivery of day-to-day operations. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be key in the development and support of systems and applications, in the University's Information Strategy. This enables the University to take advantage of leading edge developments in IT and will drive a direct impact on both the student and staff experience and operational efficiency through technology enablement. Your profile A strong technical background across wireless, voice and data networks including configuration, support and network problem resolution Strong knowledge of data networking protocols including TCP/IP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS and an understanding of network security principles Strong experience of supporting and managing routers, switches, firewalls, Data Centre Management, Cloud Solutions, Virtualisation & Infrastructure & Storage & Backup Experience of acting in a 3rd line support capacity across a range of network and telephony technologies.
