Overview
Reed Finance are currently supporting a central Reading based, private equity backed technology business who have experienced a consistent period of growth. This growth has been mainly organic in both the UK and internationally and has lead to the creation of a new Finance Business Partner role working with Financial Director. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity for a high-achieving, highly motivated and results orientated professional who wants to invest their time driving significant growth in the UK market. This is a wide-ranging role providing commercial and management accounting support across the business, with a particular focus on supporting the sales and marketing functions in the UK, our largest market. The successful candidate is expected to make a genuine and demonstrable impact on the business, proactively identifying and pursuing opportunities to improve business performance. Some elements of the role are likely to be customer facing, while occasional national and international travel may be required. This role can be very fast-paced and requires candidates who are self-motivated and confident. Main Tasks and Responsibilities • Provide commercial support to sales team including analysis of pricing proposals and commercial or legal negotiation with customers and prospects • Preparation of annual budgets and regular forecasts in conjunction with departments across the business • Prepare board packs and commentary on performance, analysis on revenue/profit trends, KPI reporting • Create and maintain monthly cost-centre reporting, working with all departments to ensure information is timely and insightful • Calculate monthly sales team commissions and propose changes to scheme when appropriate • Analyse profitability of products, customers, business units and effectiveness of marketing spend to inform decision making and drive business performance • Building financial models and corresponding business case proposals • Provide ad-hoc business partnering working across all departments to help the Company reach financial targets and maintain financial control To be considered for this role you will be a qualified accountant or qualified by experience with excellent analytical and excel skills.
