What you will be doing: This role is for the daytime team and will be primarily responsible for the appropriate completion of cardholder dispute correspondence and the processing of scheme chargebacks, good faith requests and scheme compliance failures. The position reports to the Financial Crime Manager and is responsible for the support of the Exceptions business processes within the FIS Birmingham office. The position has no direct reports. The job operates / serves as: Internal interfaces between all financial crime management and operational teams. External interface with the Client (the FI’s). For example; Informing the FI’s of the status of a case or responding to client queries. External interface with Card Scheme representatives, to maximise the potential for recovery of funds External Interface with the cardholder. For example, to discuss disputed transactions to establish the facts about the case. Specific Responsibilities: To log & review new dispute cases and perform an assessment of the cases status (chargeback rights, no chargeback rights) To process dispute administration tasks including the collation of customer declarations To monitor and act on agreed process through to completion To maintain knowledge of scheme requirements including updates and advise of changes required. To identify the best method for recovery of funds including the appropriate chargeback reason code should be identified To complete processes in a timely and efficient manner to meet Scheme timeframes To review customer section 75 claims and make a pay / no pay recommendation to the client What you bring: Expert knowledge of Visa and MasterCard dispute rules. Expert in using Vrol & Mastercom Knowledge of Link dispute rules Experience in a disputes or chargeback role within a financial services organisation Section 75 claims Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong knowledge of the scheme chargeback regulations for Visa and MasterCard Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction Attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks Working with external bodies, such as Visa and MasterCard Visa and MasterCard dispute rules Consumer Credit Act section 75 Experience of working in a similar role an advantage Scheme disputes & chargeback training courses an advantage What we offer you: 25 days annual leave bank holidays.
