Quality Assistant

THE COMPANY: Brewster Partners are working with a Chesterfield manufacturing business as they look to recruit Quality Inspector. THE JOB: Purpose of the role: To approve incoming materials and related documentation by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting unacceptable materials. To approve outgoing product by confirming specifications as per works order; rejecting unacceptable product. Objectives: Produce basic quality documentation relating to customer requirements; e.g. Asbestos, Certificate of Conformity, Green Passport, Dimensional reports. Document test and inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; input data into goods-in database. Maintain calibration records and assure measuring and monitoring tools are calibrated prior to expiration. Set up and test samples for research & development or warranty investigation; e.g. pressure, immersion, dimensional. To be able to assist any of the members of the technical team with their test projects. Produce reports on rejected material or products. THE CANDIDATE: Experience required: Ability to interpret engineering drawings, data sheets and specifications. Working knowledge of test and measuring equipment.
