Overview
The Company: We are working with a North West based Regional Housebuilder who successfully operate across the North West of England. They have an excellent reputation for the quality of their build and have realistic plans in place to grow in the region. The Role: Based on these growth plans they have asked me to help them to recruit an experienced Buying lead to sit in their small commercial team. This is a new role and the plan is for whoever takes this on to build a small team that they would manage. The ultimate purpose of the role is to procure goods and services for projects on time and at competitive rates whilst developing positive relationships with suppliers. General responsibilities will include the following; • Prepare and issue enquiries to suppliers and evaluate quotations received • Conduct negotiations with suppliers and place orders providing best value and service • Ensure that all procurement is carried out in line with the Company's Supply Chain processes & procedures • Manage the procurement process to ensure that any disputes are resolved amicably to ensure that project delivery is not affected • Ensure that supply partners are safe, sustainable and appropriately accredited You: Ideally, they would like to recruit an experienced Buyer who has significant experience gained with a Housing Developer You will be based in or be able to commute to the North West of England daily You will need to be IT literate Rewards: They offer a really good salary and benefits package You will be working with a growing, successful, cash rich developer who can provide a challenging and supportive working environment This is a great opportunity to join a leading Housebuilder who are open to you putting in to place policies and procedures that improve their business, who can offer an excellent working environment in their modern head offices
