Overview
The role of an Electrical Design Engineer will require the individual to undertake the following: Key Accountabilities: Responsible for technical design and controlling projects Meeting customer requirements within agreed timescales and acceptable cost parameters Responsible for site engineers, monitor their progress and quality of work Working with customers and to develop a good working relationships with Clients Identifying sales opportunities both within existing contracts and as new Business Assisting Sales Staff in the preliminary design / determination of projects at Tender stage Working to client's requirement on the basic and main design phase of application, and develop, design and customise electrical control systems and circuits to function specifications that meet the customer needs Responsible for producing drawing packages including panel design and control circuitry ensuring compliance in the development of assigned projects with all relevant specifications, standards and safety regulations Working with other departments and provide technical support and assistance to sales, manufacturing and commissioning phases with occasional site visits to clients premises Working to timescale delivering software and hardware content of projects for manufacture, and attend regular project progress meetings to report on status Job Design Look over the contract file on receipt and inform the Project Manager of any anomalies LiaisingProject Manager and Engineering Manager to efficiently and professionally execute the project Attend contract review meetings with client Design systems to industry and particular specifications incorporating company standards and customer requirements, including all design calculations. Issuing design to customer for approval Producing final component list and issue for purchasing Update drawings to client requirements Maintain daily contact with the Project Manager regarding job progress Understanding, interpreting and responding to the needs of other engineering disciplines such as mechanical, process and civil. Production of electrical, control and instrumentation design documentation and drawings including: Single line diagrams Load schedules Block Cable diagrams Control philosophies Instrument schedules Control system & communications block diagrams Important Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
